A food and fluid thickener with amylase resistant features for the dietary management of dysphagia.

Indications:

For the dietary management of:

1. Patients with swallowing difficulties (dysphagia).

Important Notice:

1. Not suitable as a sole source of nutrition.
2. Not for parenteral use.
3. Not suitable for patients with galactosaemia.
4. Not suitable for children under 3 years.
5. Only suitable as a food and fluid thickener.
6. Must be used under medical supervision.

Direction for Use:

1. Use only the scoop provided in the packaging.
2. Handle aseptically to ensure product remains sterile.
3. Add the prescribed amount of powder to the liquid or pureed meal and mix well with a shaker, whisk or fork.
4. Leave to stand for a few minutes to achieve the required consistency.
5. Do not add additional powder during standing time as the liquid is continuing to thicken.
6. Prepare the food per serving and use within 2 hours. Always discard unfinished prepared portions after 2 hours.

Storage:

1. Store in a cool, dry place.
2. Once opened, use contents within 8 weeks.
3. Discard unused contents after 8 weeks.
4. Replace lid firmly after use.
5. Do not refrigerate.

Features:

1. Amylase-resistance formulation: maintains a consistent texture of the food or drink, to which it has been added, during consumption.
2. Can be mixed in both hot and cold foods and fluids: for patient convenience and choice.

Allergen & Cultural Information:

1. Halal certified.
2. To the best of our knowledge this product does not contain ingredients that are forbidden in the Kosher diet, however, the manufacturing processes have not been officially certified by the relevant religious bodies.
3. No gluten containing ingredients. No detectable gluten when tested to a sensitivity level of less than 5 parts per million (<5 ppm i.e. <5mg/kg).
4. Low lactose (lactose <2g/100g).
