The Esteem synergy® + system features an innovative Adhesive Coupling Technology™. Instead of plastic rings, a foam adhesive securely couples the pouch to the skin barrier's clear plastic “Landing Zone.". The result is a low profile, flexible, secure system, with the convenience of a one-piece and the versatility of a two-piece. Esteem synergy® skin barriers feature Stomahesive® or Durahesive® technologies and are designed to be gentle yet durable to protect sensitive peristomal skin. Pouch allows for draining at bottom.

The Esteem synergy® + pouching system offers the latest technologies from ConvaTec, including:

1. A state of the art filter with anti-clogging film layers – these prolong the life of the pouch, keep the pouch flat and virtually eliminate odour
2. Soft and quiet materials – these resist water and dry quickly, the shape is streamlined for added comfort and discretion
3. The security of the InvisiClose tail closure with Lock-it Pocket^™ – this hides away the flapping tail to provide the security and comfort of a closed end pouch.  The closure has fewer steps so is easier to use

To close the pouch

1. Holding the white outlet end strips, roll the end of the pouch up tightly towards you three times until the interlocking InvisiClose^® strips line up
2. Press the interlocking InvisiClose^® strips together from left to right in a ‘pinch and push’ motion along the width of the pouch until you feel everything knit together securely
3. For added discretion and security, place your thumbs into the bottom corners of the Lock-it Pocket^™ and turn it inside out, as if closing a money bag, to hold the tail closure securely

To empty the pouch

1. Un-fold the Lock-it Pocket^™ to reveal the tail
2. Undo the interlocking closure and unravel three times
3. To make cleaning easier, you can open the outlet of the tail by pushing the sides of the white outlet end strips inwards with your thumb and forefinger
4. Wipe around the inner area of the outlet with tissue.  The outlet may be cleaned with gentle soap and water if necessary
